This case comes before the Court as a direct appeal following the imposition of a sentence of death. *fn1 On December 2, 1994, a jury found appellant guilty of first degree murder, *fn2 criminal conspiracy, *fn3 and possession of an instrument of crime. *fn4 Subsequently, the jury considered the evidence presented at the penalty phase hearing and imposed a sentence of death.
